One of three parts of me, the one Plato called 理性 (logos). Not the cold logic for me. Phenomenology inspired me to see that understanding does not begin in theory, and is not confined to it. It begins in a body already belonging somewhere. In the small consciousness that arrives before the concept ever does. Two readings of the same moment may not fully merge, a small regret. The work is approaching another person’s experience sincerely, one careful reading at a time.
